We Need Your Help

Allegheny Power wants to build a power line from near Pittsburgh through West Virginia to northern Virginia.  Called the Allegheny Energy Trail (TrAIL), 8 story electric towers would be placed on a 200 foot right of way across the Laurel Run watershed.

The line threatens Laurel Run's environment and beauty, as well as that of a peaceful area containing farms and land families have worked hard to acquire and maintain for themselves and future generations.  The line would devalue property and threaten future economic development and tourism in the area.  It raises health questions for children that cannot be definitively answered and presents future health issues

If you believe there is a better way to deliver power than just stringing lines,  go to http://notowers.info for our power line protest site .  It contains names and addresses of officials and agencies where protest may be effective, as well as sample letters, and directions about how to track progress of the case.
